Families for Effective Autism Treatment (FEAT) of Washington
FEAT of Washington is a wonderful organization that exists to support families of children with autism as those families seek essential science-based services for their child. We strongly recommend that all of our families join FEAT of Washington.
Quackwatch and Autism Watch
Quackwatch is an excellent resources for parents of children with autism who wish to investigate whether a given treatment for autism is supported by scientific evidence. The operators of Quackwatch have also constructed a web site dedicated exclusively to gathering information about alternative (and usually dubious) interventions for autism, called Autism Watch. We strongly recommend that before parents embark on using experimental interventions with their children, they investigate the intervention thoroughly and consider information from both advocates and opponents of the intervention.
